Where exactly do I work?
There is a co-working room that seats fifteen — air conditioned, high-back chairs, the whole room facing the lake. Two connections behind it: 300 Mbps fibre and Starlink as a second, independent line.
Is the wifi good enough for video calls?
The internet is 300 Mbps fibre, with Starlink as a second, independent line beside it, so a day of calls does not hang on one connection.
What happens if the power goes?
A generator covers the whole property, and Starlink runs beside the fibre as a second line, so power cuts and a dropped connection do not have to stop your working day.
Will I be on my own here?
It is a small place — 11 rooms — with a lakefront lounge and one long table at dinner. You will meet the other guests unless you would rather not.
Can I stay for a month?
Yes: a week, two weeks, a month or longer. There is no published room rate for long stays yet, so send us your dates and we will quote you directly.
Is laundry included?
A laundry service is available and charged. There is also a shared kitchen if you would rather cook for yourself.
How far is Galle, Ahangama and the beach?
Galle is about thirty minutes by road, Ahangama 15 minutes, the nearest beach five minutes, and Colombo airport about two hours. Zen Koggala is on Koggala Lake in Koggala, on the south coast of Sri Lanka.
Can my team take the whole villa and work from here?
Yes. A team takes all 11 rooms with nobody else on the property: 22 guests included (up to 30 by arrangement), the 15-seat workspace, a generator and Starlink beside the fibre, and meals that run to your day rather than a hotel's.
